Sagunto celebrates World Mental Health Day (October 10) with a varied program of activities to raise awareness in society about this problem. The talks, workshops and the rest of the awareness-raising dynamics on mental health have been organized by the Department of Social Services and will take place between October 7 and 11, as well as the 21st of the same month.

In this way, the aim is to generate a direct interaction that brings students closer to the reality of people who have some type of problem in relation to mental health and thus avoid the formation of prejudices that end in stigmas.

On the afternoon of Tuesday the 8th, at 5:30 p.m., the Valencian Association of Bipolar Disorder (AVTB) will offer an awareness talk open to all citizens at the Old Sanatorium Civic Center, located in the Threshold Triangle of the center of Puerto de Sagunto .

On Thursday the 10th at 10 a.m. there will be a session open to the citizens of mindfulness at the Voramar Center (avda. Mediterráneo, nº 38). This workshop is an introduction to the practice of mindfulness through practical experiences that will allow those who participate to connect with their body and their senses and focus on the here and now. It is an ancient Buddhist practice that has profound relevance to life today. Mindfulness means paying attention in a certain way, deliberately, in the present moment and without judgment, which allows you to develop greater awareness, clarity and acceptance of the reality of the present moment.
